Day 1: Start With God

Day 1: START WITH GOD "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105) "The entrance and unfolding of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130) They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well it's true also that a scripture a day keeps the devil away. The word of God is for daily living. And when we learn to study the word of God every day we can easily navigate through life. A day you dont start with God is already a lost day. A day started with God in it is a guarantee of a day filled with His leading and His direction. It's a day that has turns of favour and success all round. It's a good day indeed! The word of God is written down so we’ll know how to live well and right, to understand what life means and where it’s going. Its a manual for living, for learning what’s right and just and fair. It teaches the inexperienced the ropes and gives our young people a grasp on reality. There’s something here also for seasoned men and women, still a thing or two for the experienced to learn— Fresh wisdom to probe and penetrate, the rhymes and reasons of wise men and women. The word of God is a manual for living given to empower us to reign in life. It guides us in our choices and decisions and makes our pathway clear. Daily purpose in your heart to recieve the word of God. David puts it so beautifully in Psalm 119:132 when he says, "I open my mouth and inhale the word of God because I crave the revelation of your words." Solomon says, "By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back from living by your righteous order." Like Solomon, this should be our everyday prayer. You've got a new story to write for your new level. And it looks nothing like your present level. Take the word in like you would take prescribed medicine. Listen to what David says in Psalm 19 pertaining the word of God: God’s Word is perfect in every way; how it revives our souls! His laws lead us to truth, and his ways change the simple into wise. His teachings make us joyful and radiate his light; his precepts are so pure! His commands, how they challenge us to keep close to his heart! The revelation-light of his word makes my spirit shine radiant. Every one of the Lord’s commands is right; following them brings cheer. Nothing he says ever needs to be changed. The rarest treasures of life are found in his truth. That’s why I prize God’s word like others prize the finest gold. Nothing brings the soul such sweetness as seeking his living words. For they warn us, his servants, and keep us from following the wicked way, giving a lifetime guarantee: great success to every obedient soul! Without this revelation-light , how would I ever detect the waywardness of my heart? Fitness: ♡ Set a time of the day everyday when you study the word of God and stick to it ♡ Join a bible reading plan and stick to it ♡ Have a memory verse for every portion of the word that you read

♡ Drink at least 2 litres of water. As the word refreshes your spirit, so water refreshes your body One small action everyday will create a lifestyle and culture.
